Why Should You Watch Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

When a professional and experienced fiction writer generates a satchel full of characters, plot lines and events, they create three-dimensional imagery in the written word that drapes across the mind of the viewer until what is fiction becomes faux-reality.
With all the tension in the world right now, taking a few minutes from your day to indulge in the fantasy where double plots keep your brain engaged in the moment and visually exciting creatures imprison your attention from beginning to end makes for the perfect escape.
As with all of J.K. Rowling’s work, the audience gradually becomes immersed into the mythical adventures of the story as they identify with one or another of the characters. Whether you choose the big screen at your local movie theater or the biggish screen on your Smart HDTV, escaping the drudge and harried lifestyle we experience daily is one of the best reason in the world to see Fantastic Beasts.
But! Do you want to know the best part?
Fantastic Beasts is the first movie in Rowling’s new trilogy! If you don’t see this one, how will you know what the next one is all about? Each part will be released in November two years apart starting with this first one coming your way on November 18 th with Part 2 arriving November 16, 2018 followed by the finale in part 3 on November 20, 2020. (Gee, that last one sounds like a lucky number for the lottery.) Movie night has never before been so convenient! And thanks to the speed of the internet you can now watch Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them online in the comfort of your own home on November 18 th .

The Storyline

Imagine that it’s 1926 and you are standing on any given street corner in New York City. The smell of fresh bread baking glides from beneath the closed window of a nearby flat. The dingy light of a gray morning envelops your body signaling that something creepy could happen any moment. Then, boom!
The cobblestones buckle and erupt forming an open trench just feet away from where you stand. Did the subway jump the tracks? Was this an earthquake?
It seems that Newt Scamander, the author of the famous Hogwarts Textbook for the study of wizards and wizardry, drops in on the Magical Congress of the United States of America – suitcase in hand. (This is the same book that the not-yet- born Harry Potter embraces in his studies.)
In viewing the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them stream, it isn’t clear why Newt Scamander is in the U.S. but it doesn’t really matter much since the Englishman doesn’t wait long before he dives into an ocean of horrendous troubles.
The Magical Congress is a group of secret wizards who meet in New York City for their annual conference. The idea of any “magic” going on in the United States-- - especially in 1926-- - was considered to be a sign that one worshipped the devil. And, the No-Maj’s (those who didn’t believe in magic powers) would go out of their way to kill you rather than take a chance that you’d infect their family.
In speaking to the Congress, he opens his suitcase as a show- and-tell presentation revealing the creatures that he has been studying. Here's the kicker. They escape! From that moment on, all unholy hellaciousness is unleashed on the residents and the city as a whole.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them: The Movie Development

When the first mention that the production of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them the full movie made its appearance on social media, two major issues crept into the discussion:
1. Was it a prequel or sequel of Harry Potter and would some of the Potter characters be featured in the new film?
2. Why are all the actors in the film White?
Let’s get something straight right from the beginning. According to Rowling, herself, this tale is not – not – a prequel to her Harry Potter works. Fantastic Beasts is a completely individual project that stands on its own. Whether or not it becomes a hit, is up to you.
The second question is one that is becoming a major issue in all Hollywood productions lately – as well it should be especially when you are casting for fictional account with beasties and other things that go bump in the night. And, in this particular case, much of the film was done right in Harlem, which has one of the most diverse collection of people (in every imaginable way) in the world.
Pre-production casting was a highly competitive event for both the male and female leading roles. Four men were under serious consideration nearly to the very end and seven well- known actresses competed for the part of Tina, the most desirable female role in the script. The decisions finally came in July 2015 treating the audience to some of the finest actors available in the film world.
One of the most exciting and difficult challenges for any fantasy film is creating the mythical creatures as envisioned by the writers. Creating such wonders as a Demiguise, a Niffler, the Bowtruckle or the most sinister of all creatures, the Occamy made from the whole cloth of the author’s imagination is especially difficult when the writer has detailed descriptions that, if changed too much, will be loudly denounced by the fans.
One thing for sure, Rowling and team didn’t shy away from how costly the choices in any department, which may be the reason that this movie will prove to be the success Warner Bros hopes for.
